Biography
Dr. Mariel Schofield is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist specializing in helping active adults overcome injury, restore function, and perform with confidence. Her work combines rehabilitation and performance, blending clinical expertise with individualized strength training and coaching.
She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree with Honors from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2017, where she developed a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and movement science.After graduating, Mariel moved to Los Angeles to launch her career in health and wellness.
She has since applied her clinical expertise and leadership skills to help grow and scale two physical therapy businesses to multiple locations, blending high-level patient care with sustainable business development.
Mariel’s approach emphasizes long-term resilience, movement capability, and sustainable strategies that support both performance, health, and longevity. She partners closely with clients to help them feel capable, in control of managing their symptoms, and confident in their bodies.
As a Type 1 diabetic, Mariel is deeply passionate about community education and advocacy. She volunteers with local diabetes foundations, educating children and parents on how to safely manage diabetes alongside exercise and sport.
Outside of her clinical work, Mariel enjoys strength training, volleyball, travel, discovering new restaurants, hosting educational and community wellness events, and spending time with her French Bulldog.
